Itinerary
Day 1: Flight to Istanbul Airport and transfer to your hotel
Day 2: ISTANBUL – Walking tour of the old city including Blue Mosque,
Basilica Cistern, St. Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Dinner in one of the local
restaurant in the area (BD)
Day 3: ANKARA – After breakfast we will drive to Ankara. On arrival we will
visit one Turkey's leading museums, the Anatolian Civilizations' Museum, and
Ataturk’s Mausoleum (BD)
Day 4: UNDERGROUND CITY – CAPPADOCIA – Today we will be driving
to Cappadocia and visit Kaymakli underground city upon arrival. After checking
into our hotel we will have a Turkish cooking lesson where we will be doing all
the shopping and cooking with an expert and afterwards enjoy the meal we
cooked together (BD)
Day 5: CAPPADOCIA – Opportunity to enjoy a balloon ride before breakfast
(subject to weather conditions, payable locally). Full-day tour of the region,
with short walks through the valleys and also visits to some of the open air
museums in the area (B)
Day 6: KONYA – HOME STAY – After breakfast we will drive to Konya and as
we travel on the silk route we will visit one of the old caravanserai (the hotels
of the middle ages) on our way. In Konya we visit the famous Whirling
Dervishes museum. In the afternoon we will arrive to the village where we
will be the guest of the locals. They will be cooking the dinner and preparing
the breakfast for us (BD)
Day 7: ANTALYA – After a morning at leisure, we will drive to Antalya, where
we will visit the Archeological Museum. We will be staying in the old harbour
of Antalya in one of the Ottoman Houses converted to a hotel (B)
Day 8: KOPRULU RIVER RAFTING – We have a short drive to Beskonak
where we will start our rafting on a relatively gentle river with small rapids
(BL)
Day 9: PAMUKKALE – Today we will drive to Pamukkale, famous for its
calcified falls. We will be walking on the pools and also have time to swim in
the original pool with thermal water (BD)
Day 10: EPHESUS – No visit can be completed without visiting the amazing
Ephesus and also Artemis Temple, one of the seven wonders of the world. A
short drive will bring us to Selcuk and after checking in to our hotel we will
be visiting these places (BD)
Day 11: SIRINCE - VIRGIN MARY'S HOUSE – Today is a relaxing day that we
will be visiting Virgin Mary's house in the woods and also Sirince Village famous
for its fruit wines (B)
Day 12: PERGAMUM – ASSOS – We leave after breakfast to the Bibllical site
of Pergamum. After visiting Acropolis of Pergamum we will drive to Assos
(BD)
Day 13: TROY – CANAKKALE – After a leisurely morning in Assos we will
drive to Troy and visit legendary city of Ancient Troy. (BD)
Day 14: ISTANBUL – We cross the Dardanelles back to Europe.We will visit
the FirstWorldWar memorials of Gallipoli and then drive to Istanbul.Tonight
we have our farewell dinner (BD)
Day 15: After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Airport for your departure flight
home (B)
