Situated in the sought-after hillside neighbourhood of Celta on the outskirts of the charming town of Los Llanos de Aridane, La Villa is a complex of semi-detached bungalows, generously spread out amongst wonderfully mature, subtropical gardens. From this elevated setting there are lovely views across the Aridane valley towards the west coast, and the location is as convenient for exploration as it is conducive to relaxation. Each bungalow has a large terrace where you can enjoy a good book and a cool drink in peace and quiet, and without feeling overlooked - thanks to the spacious layout of the site and the mature vegetation that abounds. The swimming pool is surrounded by a springy lawn and can be heated in winter. There is also a paddling pool for toddlers.

There is a choice of bungalows with one or two bedrooms, offering ample space for couples and families alike. Each also has a large living-dining room with a sofa-bed for an additional person, and a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen. The interiors are wonderfully light and airy, with wicker furnishings and well-chosen fabrics creating a cheerful, summery feel. Each bungalow also has an attractively tiled bathroom, satellite TV in the living area (limited English-language channels), and a safety deposit box, which is free of charge. Superior Bungalows (bookable from May onwards) have been renovated and also offer air-conditioning.

A communal laundry room is available on site for a small charge, and there is free WiFi in the reception area.

Using your hire car, it takes less than 5 minutes to cover the 2 km to the town centre of Los Llanos, with its wide selection of shops and restaurants. The entrance to the Caldera de Taburiente National Park is just a little further, whilst the black sand beaches of Puerto Naos and Puerto de Tazacorte can be reached in around 20 minutes by car. Heading back east through the tunnel that cuts through the island’s central mountain range, you can get to the island capital Santa Cruz in around 40 minutes. However, part of La Villa's appeal is that you are not wholly dependent on your hire car in the evenings, as there are two restaurants, including one which specialises in vegetarian cuisine, approximately 800 metres from the accommodation, where you will also find the closest mini-market although those with walking difficulties should note that the walk back from the restaurants to the bungalows goes fairly steeply uphill.
