This well-run, mid-range hotel is centrally situated on Rethymnon's seafront promenade, right opposite the long sandy beach.

For those who have asked us to find a centrally located hotel, right opposite a glorious stretch of sandy beach we conducted a little arduous research and are now delighted to introduce the well-run Kriti Beach Hotel into our programme.

The location, in the centre of the long seafront promenade and within walking distance of both the town centre and the old Venetian harbour, makes it a good base for either just relaxing be the beach or exploring everything Rethymnon has to offer and the bus connections the town make many other parts of the island accessible for those who do not wish to hire a car.

The hotel has 90 rooms, most with balconies from which you can survey both the beach and the daily life of the town. Each room is stylishly furnished and has air conditioning, satellite television, telephone, safety deposit box and a small fridge and the shower rooms are all fitted with hair dryers. Internet access is available in a special corner of the lounge and there is a lobby bar and cafeteria opening onto a small swimming pool, offering guests the opportunity for cooling off after a day's exploring.

A buffet breakfast with a good variety of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cheeses, cold meats, eggs, bread and conserves is served in the restaurant each morning, more than enough to set you up for a hard day on the beach, perhaps partaking in the variety of water sports on offer. The nearby marina also offers the opportunity of sailing or cruising along the coast, in the varying degrees of style according to your individual budget.

Just as appealing as the convenient location is friendly and welcoming atmosphere maintained by the staff at the Kriti Beach.
