Just a short stroll from both Kastelli's seafront promenade and the local shops, the Mirtilos Apartments offer spacious studios or apartments with individual patios or balconies all facing out towards the Gulf of Kissamos. Each apartment is furnished in a simple modern style and the fittings include a small kitchenette, television, a direct dial telephone and air-conditioning (a small daily charge is payable locally).
There is an elegant indoor reception area and the small bar beside the pool dispenses refreshing drinks and snacks, which makes it unnecessary to ever use your own kitchenette. The pool is enclosed within a lawned garden and comfortable sun loungers are provided for those who wish to idle away their days relaxing with a good novel. A few minutes' stroll from Mirtilos there is a curve of sandy beach for those preferring a dip in the sea rather than in the pool and there is a good selection of tavernas, many specialising in fresh locally caught fish, and small bars on the seafront.
Kastelli is a small Cretan town where local life co-exists with a limited amount of tourism so it is an ideal location for guests seeking a truly Cretan experience. With all Kastelli's facilities on your doorstep there is no need for guests at Mirtilos to hire a car. Buses from the small bus station run regularly to several destinations including Chania, some 40 kilometres away, and there are excursions available by boat from Kastelli's small harbour. The surrounding area has great potential for walkers to explore the many rural hamlets and the foothills of the White Mountains, not to mention the nearby site and viewpoint at Polyrhinia.
