Standing in gloriously unspoilt surroundings just under 3 km from the Mandarin Boutique Hotel, this delightful pair of cottages is perfect for guests looking for a comfortable self-catering base from which to enjoy the natural splendour of Faralya . Perched on a fragrantly forested mountain slope, the setting of Selen Cottages allows guests make the most of the sights, sounds and scents of this rural idyll, and the stunning views from here down to the sea and across to the Greek island of Rhodes alone would be enough to mesmerise all but the most jaded of travellers.
The pretty single-storey building consists of just two self-contained apartments, which between them share a good-size swimming pool bordered by a tiled terrace with plenty of space for reclining on the loungers or dining alfresco.
The apartment nearest the pool area comprises two bedrooms (both with twin beds), a lounge with a sofa bed for the fifth person, an open-plan kitchen with a hob and fridge, and a shower room. The other apartment is similar but only has one bedroom (with twin beds), plus divans for up to two further people in the lounge. The interiors are comfortably furnished and attractively decorated, and both apartments benefit from air-conditioning in the bedrooms. A long terrace runs along the length of the building and enjoys the same panoramic outlook as the pool area.
Walkers will certainly be in their element at Selen Cottages, for there is excellent terrain all around. Stretches of the famous "Lycian Way" can be reached from here, and another highlight is the breathtaking Butterfly Valley - those undertaking the two-hour walk to the base of the valley will be rewarded with the opportunity to swim at one of the region's most beautiful beaches, which can only be reached on foot or by boat. Using the hire car that is included in your holiday you can reach the sandy beaches of Kidrak and Kabak in around 20 minutes, whilst the popular beach resort of Oludeniz and the bustling town of Fethiye are just a little further. Closer to home, the Mandarin Boutique Hotel is the shortest of drives away, and guests staying at Selen Apartments are welcome to visit for home-cooked dinners in its charming restaurant (please note, however, that Mandarin operates an adults-only policy)
