Our prices are based on direct charter flights from London Gatwick to Chania or Heraklion on TUESDAYS .  We can also arrange flights from a variety of regional airports, at a supplement.  

As most airlines now operate “fluid pricing” policies with fares rising and falling in line with supply and demand, typical flight supplements in the tables below are shown for guidance purposes only.  The exact supplement applicable for your chosen date and flight will be confirmed at the time of booking.

All flights are day flights (unless advised otherwise at the time of booking), and are operated by reputable carriers such as Monarch, Thomas Cook Airlines, First Choice Airways, Thomsonfly and easyJet.  All flight timings published are based upon information supplied to us by the relevant airlines at the time of going to press, but please note that these timings may change, both before and after you book.  We will quote you the latest available timings at the time of booking, and advise you of any significant schedule changes that may occur subsequently, but please be aware that such changes are outside our control, and only constitute a ‘major change‘ under the terms of our booking conditions if the departure time of your outbound flight changes by 12 hours or more from the timings confirmed on your original confirmation invoice.

Unless stated otherwise, check-in time is two hours prior to the confirmed departure time on your flight tickets, which you will receive approximately two weeks in advance of travel. The flight time is approximately four hours and the local time in Greece is two hours ahead of the UK. All our charter flights are non-smoking.  In-flight meals are now often not included in the cost of your holiday and a pay on-board trolley service may well be offered. Baggage allowance is approx.15-20kg per person (excluding infants).

Monarch Plus - 2008 Only

Cachet Travel guests travelling on our main charter flights with Monarch Airlines from Gatwick to Chania and Heraklion and from Manchester to Chania can enjoy the upgraded in-flight service of ‘Monarch Plus’ at no extra cost. Benefits include: 

• Pre-booked seating in a designated area of the aircraft, to ensure your party are seated together (please note that this does not include actual seat numbers or extra legroom seats). 
• Upgraded in-flight meal 
• Upgraded Kiddies Pack and special child meal for passengers aged 2-11 years. 
• Complimentary 1/4 bottle of wine with your meal, or an alternative choice of one spirit. 
• Complementary soft drinks throughout the flight 
• Free in-flight entertainment
• Increased baggage allowance of 25 kg instead of the normal 20 kg. 

The above package is offered as standard to Cachet Travel clients travelling on the applicable flights, subject to availability. Once we have exceeded our own allocation of seats on these flights, we may not be able to offer the Monarch Plus service; should this be the case, you will be advised at the time of booking. We are also unable to offer the above service for any late bookings made within 14 days to departure or for any holidays sold at a discounted price or a special offer. Early booking is therefore recommended. 

If for any operational or technical reason Monarch Airlines are forced to substitute the aircraft originally scheduled to fly the service for an alternative aircraft, or sub-charter the service to another airline, the Monarch Plus Service will not be provided as provisioning and briefing the replacement aircraft and crew would cause an unnecessary delay. In such circumstances no refund of the equivalent value of the Monarch Plus Service will be made.

Please note: Monarch are withdrawing their Monarch Plus service for 2009.

Winter Flights to Crete

There are no direct flights between the UK and Crete from the beginning of November to the end of March. Our Winter holiday prices are based on Olympic Airways scheduled flights to Athens with connecting flights to either Chania or Heraklion. There are daily flights from Heathrow or Gatwick, although the actual times can vary. Our prices are based on travel in economy class but we can offer an upgrade to business class for the appropriate supplement. We will advise you of the most suitable schedules and connections for your chosen dates of travel at the time of booking.

Travel to Karpathos

There are no direct flights from the UK to Karpathos. The most direct way to reach the island is via Rhodes.  Direct flights from Gatwick, Manchester and selected regional UK airports operate to Rhodes on Wednesdays, with onward flights to Karpathos operating 2-3 times per day from here.  Depending on the flight timings, you may require an overnight stay on Rhodes on either the outbound or the inbound journey, which we will arrange at a comfortable hotel in Rhodes Town.

Alternatively, you can reach Karpathos by ferry from Crete, with a few days spent on Crete at either end of your holiday.

There is also the possibility of taking scheduled flights with Olympic Airlines via Athens but the connecting times can often be lengthy.
