Boasting a good-size pool and lovely ocean views, these three apartments are tucked away amidst banana plantations just outside Puerto de la Cruz

Situated in the peaceful neighbourhood of El Rincon, these charming apartments are perfect for guests seeking self-catering accommodation in a secluded setting with uninterrupted ocean views, yet also wishing to be within easy striking distance of the diverse attractions of Puerto de la Cruz. Just 5-10 minutes by car east from the centre of Puerto, El Rincon consists of just a few private homes surrounded by gardens, vineyards and banana plantations, all clinging to the slopes of a deep valley, at the base of which you will find the Playa de Bollullo, a dark but sandy volcanic beach.

Standing in an elevated position approximately 15 minutes walk above this beach, Finca Romera is an attractive farmhouse converted into just three self-contained apartments, each with its own external entrance.

Each apartment has a comfy lounge, an open-plan kitchen and a bathroom with a short bathtub. The kitchens are separated from the sitting area by a breakfast bar and are well equipped with a large fridge, ceramic hob, oven, coffee maker, toaster and the all important electric kettle. Each Apartment has a bedroom with twin beds and an additional sleeping area with a single bed. All three apartments have their own balconies with lovely views along the coast and out to sea.

The same panoramic outlook can be enjoyed from Finca Romera's swimming pool, which is surrounded by a paved terrace with plenty of space for sunbathing. On clear days, there is an equally enchanting view inland from here towards the peak of Mount Teide, which is usually snow-capped in winter. A hire car is automatically included in your holiday at Finca Romera, to provide easy access to the town and to enable you to explore further afield.

However, keen walkers may well enjoy visiting Puerto de la Cruz on foot during the day; it takes around half-an-hour to reach the district of La Paz, which boasts a good selection of restaurants. Whilst the walk is very scenic, it is partially along rough tracks, so we would not recommend it after dark, but you can always take a taxi back after an evening out in Puerto, should you prefer not to drive. Alternatively, there are a couple of simple local restaurants in El Rincon itself, whilst those who prefer to make use of their kitchens will find some very well-stocked supermarkets just outside Puerto.
