Situated in a quiet residential area a short drive from Puerto de la Cruz, this comfortable hotel is small enough to offer a personal ambience, yet boasts excellent spa facilities.

Peacefully situated on the slope of a hill in the residential Cartaya area of Los Realejos, the recently renovated Tierra de Oro is well suited for guests who wish to spend a fair portion of their holiday exploring on foot or by car, but who also enjoy relaxing in tranquil surroundings and a spot of pampering.

There are just 45 twin rooms, 3 singles and 2 very spacious suites (available on request only). The guestrooms are very attractively furnished and decorated, and benefit from all the facilities you would expect to find in a four-star hotel, such as individually-controlled air-conditioning/heating, direct-dial telephones, minibars and flat-screen satellite TVs (with limited English-language channels). Hairdryers, bathrobes and slippers are provided in the modern en-suite bathrooms. Each room also has a good-size covered balcony with pleasant views over the surrounding village towards the mountains.

Thanks to its semi-rural setting and its moderate size, the Tierra de Oro feels far removed from the tourist hotspots of the southern coasts, yet it boasts a spa centre that would put many large resort hotels to shame - perfect for soothing tired muscles after a rewarding hike, or simply unwinding after a day spent discovering some of the island's cultural treasures. Covering an area of 500 square metres, the hotel's spa includes a heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, hydromassage, sauna, steam room, gym, and a wide range of beauty and massage treatments. Hotel guests are entitled to two complimentary thermal circuits per week; additional visits and any treatments are payable locally.

The hotel's outdoor pool is surrounded by a terrace for with sunloungers, and there is another terrace for sunbathing up on the hotel's roof, with far-reaching views across the Orotava Valley down to the coast. Other facilities include a hairdressing salon, a 16-hole crazy golf course, and a bar. In the hotel's restaurant, both breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style. For those who prefer not to drive in the evening, the half board option is convenient, whilst we also offer a bed & breakfast option for those who intend trying out some of the many local restaurants in the nearby towns of La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz, and in Los Realejos itself.
