This family-run Aparthotel offers spacious studios, apartments and suites with an attractive pool and taverna on site, and a lovely beach just a couple of minutes' walk away.

An excellent location just a stone's throw from a sheltered beach, a large swimming pool surrounded by well-tended gardens, and a friendly, informal holiday atmosphere are the key attributes that make this small aparthotel such an appealing choice for both couples and families. Arranged in several low-rise buildings around the pool, the Limnionas Bay offers various types of accommodation, all equipped for basic self-catering, but benefiting from the services and facilities of a small hotel, including a reception where you can use the safety deposit boxes, a seasonal pool bar and a traditional taverna-restaurant.

The different types of accommodation vary in their specifications according to when they were built, but all types benefit from air-conditioning (a small local charge applies). The studios and apartments offer simple, clean and practical accommodation, with traditional pine or dark-wood furnishings. The studios are suitable for two or three people and comprise a large room with an open plan kitchenette (with two-ring hob), a shower room and a terrace or balcony. The apartments offer similar facilities, but have an additional sleeping area and thus accommodate up to four people. All the room types now also have satellite televisions, although English speaking channels are very limited.

Tastefully furnished and decorated, the suites comprise a double bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a fridge and electric kettle and satellite TV, a large covered terrace, and an excellent modern bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub.

A buffet breakfast is laid on in the shaded restaurant terrace every morning and is included in the price. In the evenings, authentic Greek home cooking can be enjoyed here, including fresh fish and occasional spit-roasts. When you feel like a change, there are a handful of other tavernas within a 5-10 minute-walk, and inexpensive taxis can be summoned from nearby Votsalakia, which boasts numerous restaurants as well as a few laid-back bars.

Along with choosing whether to eat in or out, about the most taxing decision of the day is whether to opt for the pool or the beach. In fact, a stay at Limnionas is so relaxing that it may well take some resolve to ever tear yourself away from here in order to explore some of the island's other charms.
