A lovely family-size villa set in the rural village of Islamlar, just a short drive from bustling Kalkan.

Like Villa Koknar, which belongs to the same owner, Villa Sedir is situated in the authentic village of Islamlar, in the hills behind the popular harbour town of Kalkan. Islamlar is renowned locally for its charming restaurants, most of which specialise in trout caught freshly from the nearby mountain streams (but which naturally also offer a range of other options).

With three bedrooms and three shower rooms, Villa Sedir has enough space for larger families, but the villa is also particularly well suited to two couples travelling together, as each of the two double bedrooms on the upper floor has its own shower room en-suite. The third bedroom (with twin beds) is located downstairs, as is the third shower room. The remainder of the ground floor is open-plan and offers plenty of space for cooking, dining and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped (with 4-ring hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher), and there is a flat-screen TV with CD and DVD player in the comfortable lounge area. All three bedrooms benefit from air-conditioning, as does the living area.

Comfortable though the interiors are, most guests will want to spend most of their time outdoors enjoying the pretty garden and terraces (there is also a large balcony accessed from the upper-floor landing). The enticing private swimming pool is approximately 8 x 3.5 metres, and there are plenty of sunloungers to soak up the rays, as well as patio furniture to enjoy al-fresco meals prepared on the built-in barbecue.

When you fancy a change of pace, the picturesque resort of Kalkan with its bustling quayside and excellent choice of shops and restaurants can be reached in around 15 minutes using the hire car that is included in your holiday here. The rocky swimming platforms of Kalkan's "beach clubs" offer ideal conditions for snorkelling, as the waters in this almost circular bay are wonderfully calm and clear, whilst those who prefer a proper sandy beach will find mile upon mile of unspoilt dunes a short drive away at Patara.
