Anatolika Cottage

Anatolika Cottage has to be every nature loving escapist's idea of the perfect holiday retreat. This simple one storey cottage sits in its own shady garden, just a stone's throw from the beach and, although the East of Preveli Villas are on the hillside above, the only views from the cottage are out across the Libyan Sea and along the rugged coastline, making it feel truly secluded.

The interior of the cottage is simple and uncluttered, as befits its natural setting but there are of course some necessary concessions to modern day living, including air-conditioning. In addition, a satellite television is provided in the living room and the open plan kitchen is fully fitted with a cooker, fridge and microwave. The interior of the cottage is completed by separate double and twin bedrooms, which share a tiled bathroom, with a shower rather than a bath.

Most guests at Anatolika choose to spend their time in the grounds of the cottage enjoying the uninterrupted sea views from varying vantage points during the day. Sun beds are provided for placing in the shade of the palms and mulberries and there is an attractive covered pergola, an ideal spot for reading. The covered veranda is furnished for al fresco dining, perhaps enjoying something cooked on the built in barbecue with its little wood-burning oven.

A hire car is included in the cost of a holiday at Anatolika Cottage as its location certainly necessitates one. The nearest tavernas and mini-market are a four kilometre drive along the windy coastal track towards the Preveli Lake and the nearest main centre for shopping is Spili, a twenty kilometre drive away.
