Casa Yuno is a charming single-storey villa situated in the predominantly residential hill village of La Asomada, roughly halfway between the south coast resort of Puerto del Carmen and the wine-growing region of La Geria.

With its typically Lanzarotean mixture of gleaming whitewashed walls and dark exposed lava stones, Casa Yuno has an appealingly rustic appearance, further enhanced by the terracotta floor tiles and polished wooden ceilings. The furnishings have been well chosen to complement the villa's traditional style, with solid wood cabinets, tables and chairs, wrought-iron headboards and neutral creamy-white soft furnishings.

The main living accommodation is open-plan, with a comfortable sitting area with TV and DVD player and a large dining table in the adjoining kitchen, which comes fully equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine, coffee-maker, electric kettle and toaster. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and en suite shower rooms. The third bedroom has twin beds, and there is an additional family bathroom.

The lounge area leads directly onto the large terrace, which incorporates a decent-size swimming pool (10 m x 4.5 m, depth 1.4 m to 2.0 m). Pool heating is provided by solar panels, although naturally this does mean that the actual water temperature is weather-dependant. There is a covered barbecue area for preparing al-fresco meals, and thanks to La Asomada's elevated setting, the terrace boasts panoramic views over the neighbouring village of Macher and the coastal resort of Puerto del Carmen, and across the Atlantic towards Fuerteventura on clear days.

A small shop for basic essentials is just a few hundred metres away. A much wider range of shops and an extensive selection of restaurants can be found approximately 5 km away in the lively resort of Puerto del Carmen and along the marina in Puerto Calero, or for a more rustic experience you can visit one of the bodegas in nearby La Geria or some of the traditional restaurants in the inland villages of Uga and Yaiza, a short drive to the west. Lanzarote, Arrecife, is about 15 km in the opposite direction, and the entire island can easily be explored from this central location using the hire car that is included in your holiday here.
