Peacefully situated in a cul-de-sac in the upmarket residential area of La Quinta, Coral Villas consists of four detached villas, each with its own well-maintained garden and small swimming pool. Finished to high specifications, the villas are very modern in style and their minimalist interiors are wonderfully light and airy.
On the ground floor of each villa is an open-plan living-space, with a comfortable seating area with flat-screen TV and a modern dining table and chairs. The fitted kitchen is enclosed by glass windows, which is handy for keeping any cooking smells from spreading through the house, and is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker. A washing machine, iron and ironing board are also provided.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms, each with twin beds arranged side by side. The master bedroom at the front has its own en-suite bathrooms and opens onto a large terrace with views across the pool and garden towards the sea and, on a clear day, Mount Teide (as all the villas are west facing, the views are particularly appealing at sunset). The other two bedrooms are at the rear and have direct access to the gardens, as the villas are built on a slope. They share a shower room, and there is a further cloakroom downstairs. Each bedrooms has its own heater, as does the lounge, and free WiFi is available throughout the property.
Whilst the surrounding area is mostly made up of private homes, there is one hotel, the four-star La Quinta Park, a five-minute walk away from the villas, where you can use the tennis and squash courts and spa facilities for a local charge. The nearest small supermarket and restaurant are just past the hotel, whilst a ten-minute walk will bring you to Santa Ursula's recently opened municipal sports centre with a heated 25-metre indoor pool and various other facilities. The centre of Santa Ursula, with its selection of shops and restaurants catering for the local population, is 3 km away, and just slightly further, around 15 minutes by car, are the historic town of La Orotava with its fine examples of colonial architecture, and the coastal resort of Puerto de la Cruz with its famous botanical gardens and the seawater swimming pool complex Lido Martianez, designed by the Canarian artist César Manrique. In the opposite direction, the old university town of La Laguna and the island capital Santa Cruz can be reached in less than half an hour, making these villas an excellent base for those keen to explore some of Tenerife's more cultural aspects in between time spent relaxing in the privacy and comfort of their own villa.
